Help build a global directory of resources: Get familiar with organizations in your community that provide assistance and resources on issues such as sexual or domestic violence, so you will know where to turn if you or someone you know ever needs help.

Impact policy: Take action and help prevent and end violence against women and girls! Click here to send a message to your U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator.

Host a brown bag lunch for women in your workplace to provide an open forum to discuss violence in the workplace and prevention techniques.

Donate an old cell phone to a local domestic violence shelter or ask your cell phone provider if they collect phones for victims of domestic violence.

Host an open-mike night, karaokee party, etc. at a local restaurant or coffee shop to benefit a domestic violence shelter in your community.

Become a SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) nurseClick the link for information on selecting or hosting a SANE nurse training program. The International Association of Forensic Nurses provides a 40-hour online training program, geared toward Registered Nurses or Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.  This course meets the IAFN SANE Education Guidelines and provides 40 contact hours in nursing upon completion.
